This one of a kind controlled environment agriculture facility will show you the process of growing gourmet specialty mushrooms from start to finish. See how raw substrate is bagged and sterilized, inoculated and then staged to incubate. Visit the grow rooms where fruiting happens and see how product is then packaged for retail and wholesale customers throughout Chicagoland. Learn about regenerative agriculture and how mushroom cultivation plays a critical role. Tour is ~60 minutes and concludes with a retail pack of "Chicago's Mushroom" that visitors can take home.
